COOPETITIVE FOOTBALL

Build your own School Football Club and take part in a Coopetitive Football tournament. Video and photos will be released on the blog to spread this new concept. Enjoy the game!

CO-OPETITIVE  FOOTBALL RULES (playing football with cards)

Co-opetition is a new term, it is competition and cooperation with the opposing team. There is a winner but there is more equity in the game!

-          The teams are all mixed (boys and girls)

-          1 classic football goal with a goalkeeper + 2 small football goals with no goalkeepers per team.

-         The goalkeeper must remain in his area.

-         Penalty: direct free kick from the centre circle

-        When a goal is scored, the scorer becomes goal keeper and the goal keeper of the opposing team also changes.

-         Unlimited substitutions

-         Players must not tackle.

-     Instead of a throw-in, a kick in is used      .

-        Free kick if you don’t speak English

-         Don’t swear at or argue with the referee or the other players.

-         Yellow card :3 minute off/ Red card : Sending off

-         The rest of the technical rules are the same as for the 11-a-side game!

Now, if a team scores 2 goals in a row (consecutively, no matter if it is scored in the big or small goals), it may pull a specific card out of 10 cards to equalize. There are 5 cards called Handicap Cards and 5 cards called Advantage Cards.

Handicap  Cards:

-  1/You reduce your goal. The big and the small goals posts are half reduced

-          2/ You keep all corners and throw ins

-          3/ You name a dangerous defender in the opposing team who cannot defend anymore.

-          4/ You name a dangerous striker in the opposing team who can no longer score.

-          5/ You have (got) the right to block the ball and no one can take the ball from you as long as you don’t move!

Advantage  Cards:

-          6/ We cannot defend in our goalkeeper’s zone.

-          7/ We can only score in small goals.

-          8/ We enlarge our goal posts by half.

-          9/ We have (got) 2 players who remain in the opposing camp.

-          10/ Our goalkeeper can’t use his hands.

The card specific rules are added to each other during the game, they remain active during the entire game. Enjoy the game.
